Welcome to Antigua Marina
Centuries of maritime history. One island. A harbour full of possibilities.
Build, develop and manage Antigua’s harbours as you journey through the island’s remarkable maritime past. From the beginnings of the naval yard at English Harbour to the busy marinas of today, Antigua Marina puts you at the centre of life on the waterfront.
Every arriving vessel brings a new challenge. Find room, organise supplies, coordinate repairs and keep operations running smoothly as demands grow. A well-managed harbour takes planning, local knowledge and the ability to adapt—and there’s real satisfaction in watching all those moving parts come together.
Developed with firsthand experience of the marina industry, Antigua Marina is being designed to capture the practical decisions that make harbour management so engaging. You’ll start with individual locations and build towards the challenge of coordinating several neighbouring marinas, each with its own facilities, pressures and character.
Your journey begins with a prelude exploring Antigua’s Indigenous maritime connections and the arrival of European colonisation. The first playable chapter opens in 1725 at St Helena, on the eastern shore of English Harbour, where a small naval yard is taking shape. Later chapters follow the dockyard’s growth and changing fortunes and the trading port of St John’s, with their working communities at the heart of the story. Historical events will shape the challenges ahead.
Antigua Marina explores the people and events that shaped the island’s waterfront, including the skills, lives and forced labour of enslaved Africans who helped build and operate its naval dockyard. We aim to tell this history with care, informed by research and local knowledge.
As the campaign moves towards the present day, naval vessels give way to modern yachts and new demands. The ambition is to bring the marinas of English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour, including Antigua Yacht Club, Falmouth Harbour Marina and Nelson’s Dockyard, together under your management, before a final chapter imagines Antigua’s harbours in 2050.
With colourful animated artwork, recognisable real-world locations and a commitment to careful historical research, Antigua Marina invites you to discover the island from the water—and experience what it takes to keep a harbour working.
The next vessel is on the horizon. Will your harbour be ready?
